THE ULTIMATE PRE-HEART-SURGERY SESSION

As you prepare for your heart surgery, it can feel daunting, confusing, overwhelming, and scary…

You probably still have questions despite the information you’ve gathered.

Questions you want answered by someone who really knows.

You may wonder:

  • What will it really be like?
  • What will happen the day of your surgery?
  • When will you wake up?
  • How will you feel immediately after your surgery?
  • Is there anything you can do to improve your hospital stay?
  • What are the most crucial things to bring for your stay in the hospital?
  • How long does it really take to recover?
  • What can you do to recover more quickly?
  • What can you do to reduce pre-surgery anxiety?

This is Where I Come In.

I know all about Heart Surgery. I’ve undergone two aortic-valve replacement surgeries, aortic repair, and I’ve had two coronary stents implanted. Believe me, I know the drill. I am here to listen to your concerns, and answer your questions. I’ll also show you how to turn your heart surgery into the best possible experience.  That’s my speciality.

Believe or not, after all of my cardiac adventures , at 50, I feel better than I’ve ever felt in my entire life. That’s because I used each illness as a launch-pad to transform both my health and my life.

Fortunately, my professional training in Nutrition and Holistic Health techniques gave me the tools I needed to glide through each of my medical procedures. My time in the hospital went smoothly, and I recovered quickly. My doctors, friends and family were amazed at my progress. Despite the circumstances, I actually had a lot of fun.

I Understand

My greatest insights come from my work as a Mended Heart Volunteer. Each week I visit pre- and post-heart-surgery patients at Morristown Medical Center’s Award-Winning Gagnon Hospital. I have visited hundreds of patients, listening deeply to their stories, questions, concerns, and desires. I understand the patient experience, and I understand what happens before and after cardiac surgery.

I also understand the importance of being properly prepared for surgery – both physically and emotionally.
By properly preparing yourself, you can make a huge difference in both your post- and pre-surgery experience.

The Ultimate Pre-Heart Surgery Session

To help you prepare for your heart surgery, I have created the Ultimate Pre-Heart Surgery Info Session. In just one or two sessions (your choice)  you will know how to take care of yourself to ensure the best possible experience.
